Interchangeable Mosaic
Holiday Trays
Workshop

pond_mosaic_pict Mosaics have a long history and the traditional techniques are still used today. Some existing mosaics in Europe are hundreds of years old and still look beautiful.

Traditional mosaics used smalt which is chunks of opaque thick glass (about 1/4” thick). Using the original product makes a for very strong floor design. It is still the most common in Europe. This product is much stronger for heavy traffic floor designs.

Modern mosaics often incorporate shells, stones, jewelry, chain, rope or other metals. Anything that is solid is usable to achieve your design and make your mosaic sing.

The base for a mosaic can be cement, terra cotta, glass, foam, walls, or wood. Some examples of projects are sinks, bird baths, tables, walkways, stairs, benches, and even pools. Your imagination can take you anywhere!!!!
